Okay potential future friends, it's time to learn a bit! State your year, program, whether or not you live in residence, and what you plan on doing in the future with your degree!

I'm not officially a student yet, but it's possible so I'll start.

Future first year.
Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies.
I'll live on residence for first year, at least.
I plan on getting a Master's in Couple and Family Therapy at Guelph and with that I would go into the following fields: couple, family, and sex therapy; sexual health education (constructing programs and going around to different high schools and post secondary schools to teach it); and lastly, doing some college teaching and adult seminars.

Now you go!

:D Keep this community alive!

Hello everyone! [Feb. 12th, 2007|03:36 pm]
St. Jerome's University

This isn't a very active community, eh?

Well, I'm glad to say that I've been accepted to SJU but I'm having some problems deciding if I REALLY want to go there. I live in Mississauga so I'm going have to live on residence but residence is a lot of money (which is pretty obvious). The money issue and being nervous about living with a stranger is what's holding me back. I've applied to York as well and I know that I'll be accepted there too, although York doesn't have the program I really want to take. It's a really huge decision and I was wondering if anybody could offer from insight? Advice? Opinions? Anything? I would really appreciate it.

And if you would like to know I applied to Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies.

Does anyone know why that little cafeteria inside the lounge is still closed? The sign that said she'd be coming back September 11 is still up (last time I checked) and I'm getting impatient.

Hello all -- former SJU resident here (last year), and I'm looking to sublease my room for the summer.

☼ 511 Quiet Place, Unit #3, about 15-20min walk to campus
☼ It's close to the Albert Street plaza; Dollarstore, Ferah Foods, Shoppers Drugmart, Beer Store, etc.
☼ Nice location with lots of trees
☼ Rent is only $312... and plus utilities, it STILL does not even come to $400 a month.. WOW
☼ One of our housemates will still be living there, her name is Wanda; she'll be there until around July
☼ Individual heating in each room (so preferablly looking for females who want to sublease)
☼ Three rooms upstairs in all, and then the basement was also converted to a room
☼ Four bathrooms; one main floor, one master bedroom, one in basement, and a main bathroom/shower upstairs

My Room/General House
- good sized window
- good sized room; medium (I was able to fit my bed, keyboard, dresser, and computer desk all in and, yes, I still have room to move around)
- good sized closet; two door, top shelf and room to store things in the bottom
- wireless internet
- laundry on site in basement; washer and dryer

Although I would prefer to sublease to someone I know, I can depend on SJU folks; thems good people.
